Stinger, a deaf Pit Bull, endured a life-threatening ordeal when he was attacked by bees and abandoned by his own family at a shelter. Rescuers found him at the shelter, his body severely affected by bee stings, and named him Stinger in recognition of his ordeal.
Initially slated for euthanasia due to his critical condition, Stinger found a second chance at Carri Shipaila’s LuvnPupz rescue in Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan. Carri Shipaila, moved by his plight, immediately intervened and took him under her care.
Despite facing significant health challenges including bee stings, subsequent skin infections, and sarcoptic mange, Stinger persevered. However, he was diagnosed with Pemphigus, an autoimmune condition requiring ongoing management and expensive care.
While Stinger may not be eligible for adoption due to his medical needs, he has found a loving foster family through LuvnPupz. Under their care, he has made remarkable progress—his painful blisters healed, revealing a beautiful white coat.
Today, Stinger thrives in his new life, enjoying the love and care of his foster family. His story serves as a testament to resilience and the power of compassionate rescue efforts.
