A heartbreaking story comes from Southern California, where a tiny gray-and-white dog was found lying in a school parking lot next to some shrubs.

She was waiting for her family, who had abandoned her, to come back. Refusing to leave that spot, she hid from anyone who tried to help her.

Weeks passed, but no one came back for her. She remained all alone, still not realizing that her previous owners were no longer her family…

Little Doggo Girl Was Inclined To Wait For Her Hoomans To Come Back

For fifteen days, this little dog girl refused to budge from the parking lot shrubs, waiting patiently for her family to return. Despite no one coming back for her, she remained steadfast in her spot.

Many people tried to help her, sharing her photos online in hopes of finding her family, but no one ever claimed her. Even when someone approached her directly, she would hide. That is, until one day, a woman named Suzette Hall came by.

Suzette Made Sure The Dog Got A Fresh Start

Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy animal rescue in Irvine, California, was deeply moved by the dog’s story and immediately set out to help. She drove to the school where the dog had been waiting for 15 days, faithfully hoping her family would return.

Describing the dog’s loyalty, Suzette shared, “For 15 days, there she was in the morning, afternoon, and then the night. Neighbors tried to help her, but she was too scared. I know she believed if she stayed there, they would come back for her. Loyal little girl.”

Recognizing Scarlet’s fear and shyness, Suzette used a humane trap baited with a hot dog, knowing it would tempt her despite being regularly fed kibble. When Scarlet was finally caught, she was frightened but eventually calmed down and fell asleep in Suzette’s car. Suzette named her “Scarlet.”

She took Scarlet to Camino Pet Hospital in Irvine, California, for a thorough checkup. After receiving all necessary care, Scarlet was cleared for a new foster home. Shortly after being picked up by Suzette, she joined a foster family with several other dogs to play with.

Little Scarlet Is Seeking A Furever Home

Even though Scarlet is now happy in a new foster home, she’s still searching for her forever family. This lovable dog is easy-going, affectionate, and gets along well with everyone she meets.

Adapting to a new family will be effortless for Scarlet, given her sweet nature and excellent social skills.

*Suzette*, founder of Logan’s Legacy animal rescue, has one condition for Scarlet’s future family: they must promise to never leave her again. After experiencing abandonment, Scarlet deserves to know the true meaning of love and stability.

We hope Scarlet finds her perfect home soon!
