There’s something undeniably heartwarming about seeing celebrities share their lives with rescue dogs. For John Travolta, his bond with rescue pup Peanut is the epitome of this heartwarming connection.
Before joining John Travolta’s family, Peanut made a memorable appearance in Jamie Lee Curtis’s Oscar tribute to Betty White. Since then, Peanut has become one of our favorite celebrity pets, and Travolta has been sharing his joy with her through social media.
Recently, Travolta posted a charming photo of himself enjoying a slice of pizza with Peanut, evoking a scene straight out of Lady and the Tramp. In another adorable snapshot, Travolta is seen dozing off with Peanut snuggled up next to him—a picture-perfect example of puppy love.
Since adopting Peanut in March, Travolta has shared numerous sweet moments of their life together. One viral video showed Peanut gently waking Travolta with kisses, leading him to caption it, “This is how Ben’s dog, Peanut, wakes me up.”
The Heartwarming Adoption Story
The story of how Peanut came into the Travolta family is equally touching. During the 2022 Academy Awards, Jamie Lee Curtis paid tribute to the beloved Betty White during the “in memoriam” segment. Alongside Curtis on stage was Peanut, a rescue dog from Paw Works in need of a home.
Curtis praised White’s enduring love for animals, saying, “She was not just a Golden Girl; she was a legend who made every space she entered brighter. And for nearly a century, she showed unwavering compassion for animals like these, not just her friends with two legs.”
Curtis’s heartfelt tribute and Peanut’s undeniable charm touched Travolta deeply. After catching up with Curtis, a longtime friend and co-star from the 1985 film Perfect, backstage, Travolta decided to give Peanut a “Hollywood ending” by adopting her for his son Benjamin.
We’re thrilled to see Peanut thriving with the Travoltas and enjoying her new life. It’s clear that their connection was meant to be!
